Buying a home is no longer just about affordability. You may have the money but the rapid emergence of hundreds of thousands of projects could leave you confused and unsure. Identifying the right kind of property that suits your varied needs is a time-consuming and painstaking task.

My choices were not overwhelming, though, since I was looking essentially at the suburbs of Bangalore only. A new phenomenon is at work here. All the real estate action seems to be moving from the main city to the steadily expanding and growing suburbs of Bangalore, which have been hogging all the limelight and are expected to see even more livewire activity in the years to come. With several real estate hotspots having sprung up in these areas, the suburbs are certainly basking in glory.

North Bangalore, particularly, caught my attention with the international airport proving to be the game-changer. That’s when things began to fall into place. While I was exploring for home, a friend invited me for dinner at his place. He recently shifted to his new home in Blue Valley Properties’ North Town, a sprawling 33 acre township near the airport and on the NH 207 on the Devanahalli-Doddabalapur Road.

I was so attracted by the architecture, design and the surrounding environment of the villa that I started asking questions on the pricing, availability, the builder and other related questions. Apparently, Blue Valley Real Estate company has been in operations for decades and have delivered a wide range of residential and commercial properties over the years, with quite a few under construction. My research on the company provided me with all the answers and I stopped looking further for home.

With the city saturated with concrete jungle, pollution becoming a problem and an overall congested feeling, North Bangalore seemed to be like the best choice. There are a lot of infrastructural developments in the region, like the BDA Peripheral Ring Road, the High Speed Rail Link, the elevated expressway and broadening of the Bellary Road. All of this made North Town a sought after self-sustained destination. It is a well known fact that a city always expands towards the airport. All major IT players, 5 stars hotels or Gated Communities are opening their shops there, thus making the region a hugely promising market.

Better infrastructure facilities such as markets, schools, colleges, and universities, excellent multimodal connectivity, and proximity to the Electronics City has made the area very popular with home buyers and expats. The serenity and greenery around North Town makes one feel ever so close to nature. With the advent of the outer-ring road and the Bengaluru International Airport, I believe the property will only see appreciation in the future, making it a safe bet to settle down in Blue Valley’s North Town
